Title: Day of Bowling

Today there was a Past vs Present "championship" at Safra Mt Faber. Basically the current bowling team, including the "semi-retired" (or so they refer themselves to) seniors, play against the students from the past batches. Quite an interesting match-up. Anyway let's not simply plunge into the action and instead follow a chronological order of events so that my post can look longer.

Anyway, Safra Mt Faber was huge. As in, it was even bigger than Safra Yishun. When I thought the view looked great at Yishun, Mt Faber was also just as great. But the rock wall tower at Yishun does have its plus points. Moving on, Alan and me met at Habourfront mrt and then took a taxi there. It was a good thing I went to the Safra website to check its exact location as by doing so, I also remembered the address. With the all-important address, we were able to find the Safra and not end up somewhere in limbo. So there we were, finding the bowling alley and after a cleaner there gave us directions, we were in Superbowl Mt Faber. BIG. NICE. SPACIOUS. Wow. What a great bowling alley. It was the amount of free space that made me like the place. The toilets were cool because they had the auto-tap thing where you put your hand under and the water runs. Yeah. I always find those kinds of toilets cool. Back to the alley. Min Sheng, Qing Hui and Yi Xuan were already there so Alan and me joined them. Soon more friends joined us and finally everyone was there.

My team? Gerald, Qing Hui, Shaun and me. My scores? It was a 4-game series and I got 85, 149, 137, 144. Average 128.75. During the first game, I was trying to recall the feeling of doing 5-step so that could get my timing right. Been doing too many one and two steps until I actually found five-step weird at the beginning. Yeah a bit bad score. Mr Ng talked to me and told me to relax more and don't be so serious. Tried that a bit and managed to boost up my scores. Haha. Actually quite proud and happy with myself for the next 3 games. Never could I imagine that I could maintain a 143.3 average for 3 games. So happy :) Even though I was positioned 17 in the end among all the ex-batch and current batch bowlers, I was still very much contented. Haha then got lucky draw, rewarding shopping vouchers. Congrats to the people who got them. Rodney, better put it to good use. Good use defined as beneficial to the TEAM ;) Congrats to everyone who managed to get the trophies.

In all, the trip to Mt Faber was worthwhile. Managed to get a better-than-usual average. The place was generally nice. Haha. Hmmm I guess that would be the end of my post but there's one last thing. I added a new proverb to my Proverb section ("there's a proverb section?" I hear you ask. Look at the top bar haha). The proverbs there are thought of by yours truly so if you want to use it (lol like real... but who knows...), just acknowledge it. For the benefit of everyone, I'll just put the new proverb here so that you can read it.

It matters not the fear of the competition,
But instead the fear of one's expectations

Haha some people said it was nice so I thought I'd just put it here. Hopefully others may like it too. Those who don't like it, please don't flame me on my tagboard. Byez!
